Wednesday 11 August 2021: Dartmoor Invasive Species Project – more Volunteers needed. Dartmoor Ranger Ella Briens says: “Thank you so much for the help you have been giving this project over the Summer…. We will be working again in South Brent from 10am until 3pm. Please email me (ebriens@dartmoor.gov.uk) and let me know if you can come along and help us. Bring a packed lunch and drink and gloves. More details and location to follow – we are just checking which sites need the most help!”.
The work follows the survey conducted by ecologist Mervyn Newman Mervyn for Dartmoor National Park to help plan for the control of invasive alien species such as Himalayan Balsam and ‘American Skunk-Cabbage’.
