Sustainable South Brent has launched its new ‘South Brent Sustainability Hub’ in the Moor Room (formerly the gym) in the Old School Community Centre for a trial period from 24th September until the end of November. Hub Drop in Sessions will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9.30am-1pm to enable visitors to find out about SSB projects, events, ticket sales, membership, volunteering opportunities or general enquiries about how you can get involved. It gives SSB a physical presence in the village, where we (and other community groups and organisations) can offer activities of all sorts, all based around sustainability.
There is an exciting programme of activities lined up, including advice sessions, workshops, a film evening, and ‘meet your parish councillor’ sessions. Local organisations and parishioners are invited to come along, see what’s happening and join in.
The first events at the Hub were part of the Great Big Green Week (24 September – 2 October)
- Energy Bingo/coffee morning drop in on Monday 26 September
