The Marsh is open and welcomes green waste, but currently has no compost

The Marsh: SSB’s composting site: is open to leave garden waste, which is NEEDED.

However, because of continued very high temperatures in the compost piles, there will be NO COMPOST available for collection at present. More green garden waste (grass, dead flowers, weeds, leaves) is especially welcome. Thank you also to those who have returned empty compost bags.

No physical help can be offered to visitors and social distancing of 2 metres must be maintained – sanitising materials will be provided. Only two vehicles will be allowed on site at one time plus maximum of two allowed to stack in the entrance layby. When you collect compost, please place £1/bag donations in the box – no change can be offered.
