Dartmoor Invasive Species Project: More volunteers needed

28 July @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm BST

Wednesday 28 July 2021: Dartmoor Invasive Species Project: Volunteers needed again. Dartmoor Ranger Ella Briens says: “We have been doing well regarding helping ecologist Mervyn Newman in the South Brent area with Himalayan Balsam and American Skunk Cabbage removal! Thank you to those that have been able to help out so far.  This time we will be meeting at Lydia Bridge at 10am and will be out from 10am to 3pm pulling more Himalayan Balsam.  If you can spare some time to give us a hand that would be fantastic …. but any help really appreciated even if you can’t make the whole day. Please dress for working in scrubby woodland and remember sunscreen, hats, gloves and plenty to eat and drink – we will have treats!!! Please do let Mervyn know directly by email if you can make it: mervynnewman@btinternet.com and contact him if you might be able to help on a different day as he is out on Dartmoor tacking Invasive Species most days at the moment!”
