Scything at Marsh Meadow

11 March, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm GMT

Saturday 11th March from 10am – Scything at the Marsh Meadow

Would you like to help give nature locally a bit of a helping hand? Come along to the Marsh meadow (past the Compost site), where SSB’s 4Bs have been managing the land, on behalf of South West Water, in order to increase biodiversity.

This will be the third cut for a couple of patches, and it is already having a noticeable effect. Help is also needed clearing the cuttings (the soil of this old floodplain is nutrient rich already) for taking to the Marsh compost site.

So, whether you fancy trying your hand at scything for the first time, or to put existing skills to good use, there’s a job that needs doing waiting for you!

No dogs please!
