Brent Island 30th Anniversary Fun Day

Saturday 21st September 2024.  Brent Island 30^th Anniversary Fun Day: 11am-4pm on the Island. Brent Island was bought for the village by the residents in 1994 and is managed by Brent Island Trust for people to enjoy and for the protection of wildlife.

The trust is organising this day to mark the Island’s 30^th anniversary.

There will be Ice Cream and light refreshments; Facepainting; music from Wild Harmony; plus stalls by Brent Island Trust; West Country Rivers Trust; Devon Wildlife Trust; Sustainable South Brent; Dartmoor National Park; Blood Bikers; Dartmoor Rescue; The Fire Service; The Police; Avon River Champions; Moor Trees; South Brent Archive.

The event will go ahead if intermittent or light rain is forecast; however, as there is no shelter, if heavy rain is forecast, a decision will be made by 9am on the day at the latest on whether to cancel.
