Big Bike Revival – Bike Maintenance Course in Buckfastleigh

NB *Although not SSB events, these events follow on from the collaboration between SSB and BeBuckfastleigh on the Summer Big Bike Revival events.

Sunday 13 February 2022: Bike Maintenance Course: at Victoria Park, Buckfastleigh: Free session with two expert professional bike mechanics who will show you how to fix and maintain your bike in more detail, increasing your knowledge and helping you save money on bike repairs in the future! Each session takes 5 participants and covers a specific area so book a separate ticket for each session. Please bring a bike, preferably your own bike!

10am-10.45am:     Tyres & punctures

11am-12.30pm      Drive chain & gears

1.30-3pm               Brakes – adjustment and maintenance

*Part of another series of free Big Bike Revival events planned by Be Buckfastleigh in collaboration with the ‘Bike Bus’ following application for funding to Cycling UK under its ‘Big Bike Revival’ programme, funded by Department for Transport. Big Bike Revival events provide solutions that enable behaviour change and cycling levels to increase through:

• Fixing bikes and embedding delivery locally to ensure people have Opportunity to cycle.
• Learning to increase knowledge and skills to ensure people have the Capability to cycle.
• Riding on social, normalising rides to ensure people have the Motivation to cycle.
