Loving Earth Project National Textile Exhibition.

25 April, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm BST

25 April to 12 May 2023: Loving Earth Project National Textile Exhibition. Open Monday – Friday; 9.30am-2pm in the Sustainability Hub at the Old School Community Centre. Handmade textile panels illustrating some of the beloved places creatures and other things that are at stake in the climate crisis – and what can be done. See: https://lovingearth-project.uk/event/lep-exhibition-at-sustainable-south-brent-sustainability-hub/.

The Loving Earth Project celebrates some of the wonderful things threatened by growing environmental breakdown  It is helping people to engage creatively and constructively with these issues, without being overwhelmed. It’s also a way to share positive examples of change and why people have taken action.

There’s a preview of some of the Loving Earth Panels in the Corridor gallery up until end of April. Worth having a look each time you are in the Old School because we have a diversity of panels on loan and there will be some swapping around! Some are going back to Loving Earth to be displayed at a venue in France. Each panel is a unique expression of someone’s love and care for the earth and there’s a wide range of environmental themes as well as styles of textile art.

There will be a Loving Earth Tea Party on 4 May, when you can chat with the organisers & find out more about Art in Community Projects.- see: https://ssb.org.uk/event/loving-earth-tea-party/

NB This is not an SSB project.
