SUMMARY:Come Scythe with me!
DESCRIPTION:Jeremy Sabel says: “We have been enjoying the wildflowers once again in the village as more road verges are being allowed to grow wild. Now we are entering hay making season and once again we want to give you all an opportunity to try scything for yourself. \nSo please come along at 2pm on Sunday 7th August to the wildflower verge outside the play park to try scything for yourself. \nAnyone who has their own scythe and can safely use it is welcome as well as anyone else who wants to learn or simply come and watch a traditional (and low carbon) activity taking place. \nYou can also help in other ways such as raking up the grasses and loading into dumpy bags. Please bring your own rakes and dumpy bags if you have them. We will transport the grasses/wildflowers to the Marsh Composting Site so offers of transport would be welcome too otherwise it will just be me driving backwards and forwards!” \nPlease let Jeremy (jeremysabel@gmail.com) know if you intend coming on the day so he has an idea of numbers. If you need to find us on the day call: 07950 376368 \nPoints to note: \n\nPlease do not bring dogs. Children are welcome to watch but cannot participate in the scything.  A first aid kit will be available on the day and first aiders will be present.\nIn the event of foul weather the event will be postponed.
