DESCRIPTION:Monday 9 November 2020: Climate and Ecological and Emergency Bill: A Live online event from 6:00-7:30pm\, offering an opportunity to hear more about the importance of the CEE Bill from a panel of experts. With just a year until the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26 – to be held in Glasgow from 1-12 November 2021)\, join the CEE Bill Alliance and special guests for a 90 minute virtual event about how the CEE Bill is the emergency strategy needed to avert climate and ecological catastrophe. The panel will address crucial ethical and moral questions: How can we act in a globally fair way? How must we address multiple crises together to be able to thrive in a just society? How can we persuade the Government to adopt the policies in the Bill? What do we need to do to influence the UK Government and other governments ahead of COP26? What role can citizens play in these processes? \nThe event will be chaired by Baroness Boycott (Crossbench Peer\, House of Lords) with: \n\nCaroline Lucas MP\, the Green Party’s first MP\, chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Climate Change\, member of Parliament’s Environmental Audit Committee;\nTim Jackson\, ecological economist\, director of Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity; author of Prosperity without Growthand Zero Carbon Sooner;\nKate Raworth\, an economist\, co-founder of the Economics Action Lab   whose Doughnut Economicsfocuses on making economics fit for the 21st century;\nKumi Naidoo\, life-long social justice campaigner\, co-founder and interim chair of the pan-African organization\, Africans Rising\, former Secretary General of Amnesty International\, former Executive Director of Greenpeace International.\n\nNo need to register just access via this link or YouTube or Twitter to watch the live stream & ask any questions to the panel.
