DESCRIPTION:Friday 20 September 2019: Global Day of Climate Action. Millions of school children and students across the globe have struck to demand an end to the age of fossil fuels and climate justice for everyone. At the beginning of a week of actions\, today’s Climate Strike\, with the TUC calling on workers to join in and support them with a 30 minute stoppage at lunchtimes and before & after work\, promises to be the biggest yet. There will be events in Exeter at 11am in Bedford Square\, Princesshay (see Facebook) and Plymouth at 12 noon at the Starbucks entrance to Drakes Circus (see Facebook). The following week will see the UN Youth Climate Summit on Saturday 21 September and UN Climate Action Summit on Monday 23 September 2019.
