SUMMARY:FREE Half term Harvest cooking workshop
DESCRIPTION:A fun cooking workshop for all ages 9.45 to 12 noon followed by a free lunch for all in the South Brent Parish community from 12 noon to 1.30pm. Learn safe cutting techniques and simple recipes to encourage cooking at home. Food worker Karin and our fully trained\, DBS certified SSB volunteers will guide everyone. We provide ingredients and safe cutting tools. We have some aprons however it helps if you can bring an apron or an old shirt to go over your clothes. \n*Children age 8 years and over can attend unaccompanied as long as their parent or carer is present to register them at 9.45am and to have lunch with them or collect them at midday. \n*Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult\, maximum three children under 8 to one responsible adult. \nAll welcome\, young and old\, to take part both in preparing food and running the cafe – as well as an open invitation to come along to enjoy the food. Locally produced and organic ingredients will be featured – menu to include: soup\, savoury muffin\, ‘magic quiche’ & delicious dessert – mmm…yum! The event is FREE. Vegan and wheat free options available. \nThe workshop is for families living in South Brent Parish and we cannot accept unaccompanied children under 8 years old. Spaces for unaccompanied children are limited and priority will be given to those who book in advance.
