SUMMARY:South Brent Repair Café - Launch meeting - Getting Fixed!
DESCRIPTION:Monday 25 March 2024: Repair Café / ‘Getting Fixed’ – Launch 7-9pm.  \nThe long-awaited South Brent Repair Café will be launched at the Hub at the Old School Community Centre. Refreshments from 7-7.30pm with the meeting running from 7.30-9pm. \nThere will be a presentation from Helen Vine\, who has been involved in setting up Repair Cafés\, plus time to discuss the next plans. The Repair Café will involve a team of volunteer repairers who will offer their services for free\, usually on some Saturday or Sunday mornings. There will also be a café to enjoy whilst waiting for your item to be repaired. The larger the team of volunteers\, the easier and more enjoyable it will be to run. Volunteers will be able to sign up for sessions as they wish. There are already 15\, but more would be really welcome. So\, if you love mending things\, baking or serving cakes\, or just lending a hand generally\, then do come to the meeting to find out how you can join the fledgling team. \nJust think\, things working again and fewer items going to landfill.
