SUMMARY:'Planting Hope: The Creation of a New Community Woodland’
DESCRIPTION:Thursday 15 January 2026: ‘Planting Hope: The Creation of a New Community Woodland’: \nThe third talk in SSB’s new Nature series is by Ross Kennerley at 7.30pm in the Old School Community Centre. \nRoss is one of the founder members of Sustainable South Brent and a prime mover behind the establishment of Hope Wood. \nHope Wood is the largest community land project in South Brent for a generation. It involves the creation of a new wood on former agricultural land. The talk will cover the background to the wood\, the story of how it has developed and been delivered\, as well as reflections on how Hope Wood sits as part of nature recovery on Dartmoor. \nAll welcome; Refreshments available. \nDonations help us do more!
